IeGeek 7.1 Channel Virtual USB Surround Sound Gaming Headset Review

The ieGeek 7.1 USB Gaming Headset is an interesting product. It’s around 20 bucks so what exactly can you expect from a product in this range? Honestly, if you were to go to a store you would see some earbuds from big brands and maybe really cheap skull candies with absolutely 0 extraneous features. Even on amazon finding products that compare to this one is hard to find as it’s very cheap. but let’s see if this decision pays off.

Comfort
This product is relatively standard in regards to comfort. I have reviewed many headphones and this one doesn’t do that much in this department, unfortunately. I’m not saying it’s bad by any means it’s just that I wished it did more to differentiate itself from other headphones. But if you remember the price range it’s save to assume there was not much left in the budget to worry about this so it’s understandable. They made an attempt at least there is some fake leather on the headpiece and on the ear cups just wished there was more and of better quality.

Audio
Overall the audio on this product is pretty good and that’s not too bad considering the price. There is definitely an audio boost which becomes apparent quite quickly but at the same time it’s pretty accurate in producing accurate sounding audio and music when necessary so overall it’s not a bad compromise. Remember this product is a gaming headset but also has other purposes like listening to music and videos etc. So to help improve the audio experience in those other categories it’s understandable to go with the bass boost. There was also a little bit of static on very high volumes but still not to bad compared to skull candies I have in this price range

Microphone
This is probably the most debatable feature on this product. Yes at this price range the company decided to put a microphone in the product which is interesting. How do they make money on this? not to sure but anyway what’re my thoughts? Well it’s not bad when it comes to vocal quality which is nice so when you actually hear me it sounds nice but this thing does have some problems in this respect. First, it’s a little quiet I wish it was louder I almost had to yell to get comprehensible audio and also there was some background noise even though my room was quiet. It’s not deal breaking but you must learn how to use the microphone correctly or your audio will be sub par.

Features And Accessories
This headset gives you the ability to adjust the length of the headpiece on both sides. While standard on most headsets these days it’s still very relieving to see it as the stock mode is way to short. Even on max, it could have been more comfortable but it’s all right as most gaming headsets have this issue

Overall The KOTTON EACH G2000 Gaming Headset are a good value for bargain hunters as this thing truly does it all. It’s surprising considering the price but it accomplishes so much from realistic audio to a quality microphone. The only real issue with this product is the comfort. If you plan to have gamers using this for long periods of times. More needs to be done to improve comfort.
